Drunk Driver Crashes Friend's Car into Pole

A 40-year-old man is accused of driving drunk and driving recklessly after crashing a car belonging to his friend on the northside of Waverly early Wednesday morning.  Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says Mark Wilson was driving fast and Wilson's friend, who owns the car, told him to slow down.  The owner then pulled the emergency brake, ultimately leading to the car crashing into a pole at 141st and Waverly Road.  A passenger in the backseat, 34-year-old Carmen Metzger of Milford was taken to a Lincoln hospital.  The extent of her injuries is unknown. Wilson was driving under the influence, with a blood alcohol level of point .168 and had a suspended license.
