Magazine Con Man Arrested for Forgery
Lincoln Police have arrested a man they say was part of a door-to-door salesmen fraud. 48-year-old, Kevin Ballard, was arrested for second degree forgery. Police say four women wrote checks for magazine subscriptions to Ballard in amounts between 22 and 46 dollars, but those checks were cashed for 2,800 dollars or more. Lincoln requires such sales people to hold peddler permits and residents are encouraged to ask to see the permits.
