Syracuse Man Arrested for DUI after Crashing into Pole

A Syracuse man was arrested for DUI after crashing his truck into a power pole. Just before 1:00 Sunday morning, a Bennett firefighter drove up on a crash near 176th and Roca Road. Lancaster County Sheriff's Sergeant Jon Vik said the driver, 28-year-old Brian Wallman of Syracuse, was driving east when he left the road and hit a power pole, knocking out a transformer. Wallman suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.  He was arrested for DUI, cited for no seat belt and taken to detox.  Norris Public Power crews were able to restore power to the area within a couple of hours.
