Lincoln Fire and Rescue Received Re-Accreditation

Lincoln Fire and Rescue has received its re-accreditation from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International at the annual conference of the Center for Public Safety Excellence.  Mayor Beutler says Lincoln is one of only a few cities in the country to have all three emergency providers accredited, which allows the department to review its policies and procedures before being evaluated by peers from other agencies. Fire Chief John Huff says accreditation recommendation is a tremendous milestone.  Batallion Chief Eric Jones says it's the fourth time that LFR has been re-accredited. Lincoln Fire was one of the first five in the world to receive CFAI accreditation in 1997.
