Bryan moves air ambulance home base to Crete

Bryan Medical Center is moving it's air ambulance home base to Crete.  The transition of air ambulance service to Air Methods has already begun.  The helicopter will remain stationed atop Bryan Trauma at 16th and South until April.  Air Methods and Bryan Medical Center have jointly operated the air ambulance service in the Lincoln area for years.  A Bryan Trauma spokesperson says basing the service in Crete, in addition to other air bases in the region, will reduce response time to accident sites, enhance transport of patients from area hospitals, and ultimately get patients to Lincoln sooner for care.
