LINCOLN -- A 28-year-old Lincoln woman is recovering, following surgery to fix 13 stab wounds she suffered from an alleged attack by her estranged husband over the weekend. Police were called to a home near 56th and St. Paul early Saturday morning, where they found blood stains in the apartment and later found out the woman had driven herself to the hospital. Police Officer Katie Flood says the woman reported that her husband, 31-year-old Robert Haggan, stabbed her. She had a protection order against him and filed for divorce. Haggan was found at his parents home in northwest Lincoln late Saturday morning, where he was arrested for attempted murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and violating a protection order. Their children were not home and were staying with other relatives.
