LINCOLN -- A record high graduation rate for Lincoln Public Schools with the class of 2013, while at the same time, the dropout rate fell to its lowest mark in district history. The graduation rate increased four-tenths of a percent to 83.7%, while there was a 6% dropout rate, down from 8.3% the year before. Ethnic minority groups saw significant increases in graduation rates, in particular Native American students with a rate of 78%, a 34% increase. In the past three years the high school graduation rate for African-American students increased about 14% to 81%, while there was a 24% increase for Hispanic students at 73%. White students saw about a 6% increase to almost 90%, while Asian-American students saw about a 1% drop to 84%.
