Address Numbers Important for Emergencies

LINCOLN -- The last thing you want to have happen during an emergency is rescue crews not able to find your house because they can't read the address. Numbers are either too small, or hard to read, because they are dingy or faded. City codes regulate the size of address numbers, but not everyone is obviously in compliance. It's even harder to locate address numbers at night. So firefighters urge you, and business owners, too, to look at address numbers from the street to make sure they can be seen.
