Attempted Robbery Under Investigation

LINCOLN -- After getting some coffee from a nearby convenience store, two men are jumped in a central Lincoln parking lot overnight. The first one happened around 3:30am Tuesday where two men were walking in the parking lot of Roper and Sons Mortuary at 44th and "O" were jumped by five men. Both men were able to fight back and get away.  One of the victims suffered a half-inch cut to the head, which he was treated for at a nearby hospital before he was taken to jail on six outstanding warrants.  As the victim and his friend left, they heard three gunshots.  No one was wounded.  The victim's friend fled, apparently wanted on outstanding warrants.   Police have a vague description of the five suspects, all of which described as black males between 26 and 31-years old.
