City Looks At Improving Golf Program

LINCOLN -- The National Golf Foundation has come up with ways to improve Lincoln's city golf program.  The NGF looked at operations of the City’s four 18-hole golf courses and the 9-hole Ager Junior Golf Course.  The NGF suggested 18-hole golf courses operate under a single management structure.  Another recommendation was modify the fee structure so Highlands Golf Course is a premier facility and Mahoney Golf Course a value facility.  Also the NGF suggested the city invest $3 million in improvements and repairs to all courses and make facilities more appealing to women golfers.
