This year's Combat Hunger Food Drive broadcast was Friday
November 16th, but can still donate and help the Food Bank of
Lincoln. You can drop off canned or boxed food items, or make
a monetary donation at any Lincoln Jet Splash Car Wash until
the end of November. We collected 1500 pounds of food on
the 16th alone, which amounts to about 1300 meals.
They have locations at 84th & Holdrege, just south of 27th
& Superior, where Highway 2 becomes South 10th Street
and the new location at 56th and Pine Lake Road. You can
also make a secure donation on line using the Virtual Food
Drive page on the Food Bank web site.
Thanks to everyone at the Super Saver store at 48th & "O"
Street and the Nebraska Army National Guard for helping
with this year's live broadast, and to 10/11's Brad Anderson
for coming out to help promote Combat Hunger.
