LINCOLN -- The trial for murder suspect Joshua Albright is underway. The 28 year old Lincoln man is accused in the stabbing death of 30-year-old Benjamin Miller near 59th and Madison in August 2012, after getting into a fight over a woman. After a longer than expected jury selection, opening statements started Monday afternoon. The prosecutor called a key witness, Sasha Sampson, who was living with Miller, but is Albright's former girlfriend. On the stand, she said Miller started the fight, punching Albright several times in the head. The Defense said Albright found a knife on the ground, presumably Miller's and started stabbing Miller in self-defense. The Prosecution says Miller may have started the fight, but Albright should have stopped when Miller backed down.
