LPS Students Above Average In Skills Testing, But Some Scores Tend To Drop Off

LINCOLN -- Lincoln public school students rank above the state average in reading and math, but experts are noticing scores drop significantly when students take tests their junior year in high school.  Reading scores drop an average of 17 points and math scores drop 10 points.  Lincoln Public Schools 2012-2013 Annual Report also shows student scores decline steadily from 3rd to 8th grade, before taking a significant fall that junior year.  One reason for the decline is student development.
