Auditor Says State Must Pay Back Fed Gov $22 Million



The Federal government has notified Nebraska officials that the State has 30 days to repay nearly $22 million in misspent Federal monies revealed after the state Auditor's Office reviewed Nebraska's failed effort to privatize child welfare services.  Auditor Foley says if Nebraska does not make the immediate repayment, the State will be subject to an annual interest expense of over 10%.  Foley says the government communication shows it concurs with audit findings.
